38 weeks!!!!

I just went to my weekly checkup. Baby and I are doing well - he is very active and I have started getting braxton hicks...also known as practice contractions. Today the Doctor checked my cervix for the 1st time, I am not dilated yet, but I am 30% effaced which is some progress towards labor. I am getting very excited to meet our sweet baby boy. Being on maternity leave the past two weeks has been great but I am starting to get bored and running out of energy to nest. So I have been spending much of my time napping, eating, and watching tv or googling random pregnancy/baby topics. We are so ready to be parents and become a family. My next doctors appointment is September 12th - we are getting very close to that 9/20 due date =) =) =)

36 weeks

I had my 36 week doctors appt today. We had an ultrasound and got to see that the baby head is down and in the right position for delivery. That was very good news. He was chewing/sucking on his fingers during the ultrasound, the doctor said this is good practice for when he is going to need to latch on for breast feeding. Everything else looked great, amniotic fluid was good, placenta was in a good position and his heart and organs looked good too. Josh said he looked like he had his fingers..lol. We will see in just a few short weeks who our precious little angel looks like =)

Today I had the most beautiful baby shower. My Mom, Hannah & Katherine did such a wonderful job throwing such a thoughtful shower full of love. Josh, Baby and I got super showered with gifts and love. Only 7 more weeks until we get to meet our sweet baby boy.

our newest photos of the Dr. Seuss Mural we are creating for Junior. I got bored watching Josh do all the painting, so I decided to give it a shot and see if i was at all talented in the painting department...i managed to do the outline of the hat in the hat tonight. =)

Nursery Update

Here are some more pics of the progress in the nursery for Baby Pfaff. Josh is so incredibly talented, I really had no idea he was such an artist. I think he has even surprised himself with how well things are looking so far. Our crib and dresser have arrived but we are keeping it safe in the garage till all the painting is done. We are still waiting on the rocking chair to arrive, hopefully a week or 2 till its here.

On a baby update, our lil guys is very active these days. I feel him constantly and his movements are much stronger now a days. It's so cool/weird to see my whole belly move when he is really going to town in there. We are enjoying every day and can't wait to meet our son. I am 30 weeks 3 days pregnant today. I will probably go on maternity leave at 36 weeks. yay!!
